While Apple’s iOS 7, new iPhones and iPads have grabbed much of the tech industry’s attention these past two months, fans of Google’s Android platform now have something new to cheer about, a long awaited software update. Dubbed Android 4.4 kitkat by Google, otherwise known as Android 4.4, it packs several new impressive features which will be of interest to smartphone owners who use devices made by Samsung, HTC, Sony, and other vendors.
