VJ Chitra, popular south TV actress, found dead in Chennai hotel room, police suspects suicide.

VJ Chitra also hosted shows on major Tamil television channels, including Makkal TV, Jaya TV and Zee Tamizh.

Chennai. Tamil TV actress VJ Chithra has allegedly committed suicide. Chitra’s family members, who also live in Chennai, have been informed by the police. She was a resident of Kotturpuram in Chennai. Chitra’s role as Mullai Kathiravan aka Mulla on Pandian Stories was one among the main characters on the popular show.

After Shooting VJ Chithra Commits Suicide

Police official told media that VJ Chithra finished shooting at EVP film city and had returned to her hotel room at 2:30 am today. She was staying with her fiance, businessman Hemanth, to whom she got engaged a few months ago. Police is ascertaining the cause of death. Her body recovered and sent for autopsy. Investigation underway. Chitra’s family members, who also live in Chennai, have been informed by the police. She was a resident of Kotturpuram in Chennai.
